Phil Berk
SENIOR ADVISOR
Phil is a Senior Advisor at Recon, where he focuses on strategy and operations topics primarily in the pharma and biotech sectors. Prior to joining Recon in 2024, Phil spent almost 20 years at the Boston Consulting Group, where he was a managing director and senior partner in the healthcare practice. Over his career, Phil has helped clients conceive, plan, and execute transformational strategies to respond to changing contexts, including some of the largest mergers and divestitures in the pharmaceutical sector over the last 15 years. In addition, he has supported both large pharmacos and emerging biotechs as they navigate the challenges of new modalities, particularly with establishing cost-efficient, scalable manufacturing and supply chain capabilities.
Prior to BCG, Phil was entrepreneur in residence at Polaris Venture Partners, and was general manager of a manufacturing operation. He has a JD/MBA from Harvard Business and Law Schools, and a degree in applied math and chemistry from Harvard College.
